WA Memory Walk

The extended family of Frank Drysdale, creator of Numero®, entered the 2011 Memory Walk for Alzheimer’s Australia. This was an opportunity to remember Frank, who passed away in June of this year, as well as to recognise the contribution Numero® has made in raising funds to support Alzheimer’s Australia WA.

Special mention should be made of Glen Jakovich, the patron of the WA Memory Walk, who played a vital part in the success of this event and joined our team for this photograph.

Alzheimer’s Australia WA’s association with Numero® goes back a long way. It came about because of the generosity of the Rev. Frank Drysdale and his wife, Joan. They vested ownership of Numero® to the organisation and, as a result, the royalty for every Numero® product sold is paid into a special trust fund. Over the years, this has raised much-needed money that supports the work of the organisation, particularly for funding important research into the care of people with dementia, to provide support to developing countries such as Pakistan, and for the development of memory- enhancement programs.

Tax-deductible donations can be made to the Drysdale Family Charitable Trust Foundation by contacting Alzheimer’s Australia WA on +61 8 9388 2800.
