Champions 2016

Winners: St Stephen’s School Carramar (Algebros & Integirls).

The R.I.C. Publications Secondary Numero® Challenge for 2016 was held at Ellenbrook Secondary College, with students from Years 7 to 10 competing. Eighteen teams competed this year, representing nine different schools, and the day was another huge success.

R.I.C. Publications donated a $500 gift voucher for educational supplies to the winning school. St Stephen’s managed to defend their title and bring their total of wins to three, the last two being 2015 and 2016.

It is nice to remember that the creator of Numero®, Frank Drysdale, who passed away in 2011, gifted the game to Alzheimer’s Australia WA.  This competition carries his name and Frank was acknowledged for the incredible gift of Numero® to education throughout Australia and the world, and the money raised for Alzheimer’s research and care.

A big thank you to Ellenbrook Secondary College for hosting the event this year.  We also thank the other participating schools (in alphabetical order): Canning Vale College, Carey Baptist College, Leeming Senior High School, Mercy College, St Hilda’s Anglican School for Girls, Swan Valley Anglican Community School and Woodvale College.
